Cameron Mitchell, Law Clerk
Cameron was born and raised in Arizona where he met and married his wife, who he has known since they were fifteen. While beginning their family, Cameron attended Arizona State University while working for a local Environmental Consulting firm and having their first three children. Cameron received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Design Management and after being graduated for about a year and a half, continued his studies in law school.
After being accepted and receiving a scholarship to attend law school at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Cameron and his family packed up and headed east. After his first year of school, Cameron and his family came back to Arizona for Cameron to work that summer at a local personal injury law firm started by his wife’s grandfather. With a desire to live and work in their home state after graduating law school, Cameron transferred to complete his legal studies at the Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. He is a Law, Science, and Technology Scholar pursuing the Intellectual Property Certificate and in his last year of law school. Cameron is also an associate editor for the Jurimetrics Law Journal as well as a “Senior Associate” for the Innovation Advance Legal Clinic.
During the Spring semester of his second year, Cameron participated in the Innovation Advance Legal Clinic as a Rule 38 Student Attorney. There he met and worked with local entrepreneurs and assisted them in their ventures through drafting contractual documents and agreements and legal research memorandums. This past summer, Cameron worked for a trademark law firm and drafted office action responses to combat application refusals from the USPTO, responses to cease and desist letters, notices of oppositions, and assisted with other trademark prosecution and litigation needs. These experiences have provided Cameron with a desire to continue to work with local entrepreneurs through contract drafting and administration and assisting with their intellectual property needs.
Cameron remains busy at home as his wife is currently expecting twin boys to be born the beginning of October 2018. With the three boys and two dogs they already have, there is never a dull (or quiet) moment in the Mitchell home.
